*Herman Miller received its 13th LEED Certification with its redesign of the 31,500 sq.-ft Main Site B-West. Originally designed in 1968 by George Nelson, and redesigned by IA Interior Architects, the administrative center located in Herman Miller’s Zeeland, MI, headquarters is LEED-CI Gold certified.
*MAiSPACE received GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification. MaiSpace, a manufacturer of modular office furniture system products, also follows a ‘cradle to cradle’ process that focuses on manufacturing products out of parts that can be recycled several times and produced using the least environmentally harmful methods.
*Mannington Commercial was certified to the Sustainable Carpet Assessment Standard, NSF 140-2007e. UltraBac RE broadloom carpet backing and Infinity RE modular carpet backing both received a Platinum certification, the standard’s highest rating.
*Unifi, Inc. partnered with TEXbase, Inc. to launch an online fabric certification program for all Unifi branded products. The online certification system and fabric library were designed to simplify the certification process and increase speed to market for Unifi’s customers worldwide. The Unifi certification management system and the online fabric library will be launched at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, Utah, January 22-25, 2009.
