At this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italian brand Moroso will launch new pieces by Tord Boontje, Daniele Bortotto and Giorgia Zanellato, Benjamin Hubert, Patricia Urquiola, Ross Lovegrove, Sebastian Herkner and Atelier Oi.

With a folded aluminum frame that lends it a lightweight and elegant aesthetic, The 22nd Floor sofa by Tord Boontje is designed for minimalist, metropolitan apartments. An accompanying coffee table, called the Somewhere Table, features a bolted steel base and a marble, glass, wood or printed Corian top.

Young Italian designers, Daniele Bortotto and Giorgia Zanellato, developed the Acqua Alta silk weaves in collaboration with Venetian fabric house Rubelli last year. Inspired by the sedimentations of the walls corroded by the water of Venice, the duo have now created a collection of living area suites upholstered with the silk fabrics. A solid, straight-line frame, reminiscent of the platforms used in the city of canals during the high tide, provides the perfect support for the silk upholstery.

The Sister Ray Sofa system, produced together with Diesel Living, contrasts a slim shell and extra-large cushions, while double stitching references the world of denim.
