Marc Sadler is a worldly designer. A French citizen born in Austria, Sadler established studios in Hong Kong, New York, Taiwan, and Venice before settling in Milan, where he is currently based. Sadler began his career by investigating plastics, designing a revolutionary ski boot. From there, Sadler worked on furniture and lighting, teaming up with internationally recognized brands such as Foscarini.

Sadler’s career has been punctuated by explorations into new materials. Such is the case with his Mite floor lamp, which combines fiberglass and carbon thread to create “both decoration and frame.”

A versatile piece that fits into any design scheme, Big is a metal bookcase system in extruded aluminum. Smooth shelves and “a definitely marked front edge” make Big sleek and architectural.

A lighting system that virtually disappears, Ghost is linear lighting integrated into the building: the lighting system is hidden behind the wall. Leaving an inset glowing frame, Ghost almost resembles a minimalist shadow box.

Another Sadler classic that showcases his love of plastic and technology, Isetta pays tribute “to the famous microcar produced by the ISO in the 1950s.” The iconic Isetta is seductively curvy and fashionably futuristic.

Sadler challenges some of the best mid-century lounge chairs with his Kara Armchair. Clean, sweeping, and comfortable, Kara includes a 120° swivel base and perfectly sized footrest.
