Denver-based Purpose and Pine designs custom furniture using sustainable materials, including beetle kill pine. The company’s dining tables are built with repurposed wood, including pine and black walnut. Purpose and Pine’s Salvaged Maple Dining Table uses wood harvested from a Denver family whose beloved tree was dying and needed to be cut down.

The Black Forest Dining Table uses Colorado beetle kill pine sourced from trees killed in the Black Forest fires outside of Colorado Springs.

Owner and furniture-maker Colin Schroeder started Purpose and Pine to combine his love of building and concern for the planet: “The re-purposing and re-using of earth’s resources into functional pieces of furniture for others is something I have found great happiness in.”
