Bertazzoni Heritage Series Gas Range: Merging Traditional Style with Advanced Technology

It seems logical that a region world-famous for its food would know a thing or two about the craft of cooking. Bertazzoni comes from Guastalla, north east of Parma on the River Po in the region Emilia-Romagna, a region of Italy known as the heartland of Italian food and renowned for its engineering. The family firm was founded more than 120 years ago and first became well known in Italy as a producer of fine wood-burning cooking stoves early in the last century.

Heritage Series. Designed by Bertazzoni.

Bertazzoni Heritage Series takes inspiration from their original wood burning stoves, but features all the technology and advanced engineering of the Bertazzoni professional series. This gas range series was first introduced in celebration of the company’s 125th anniversary in a 36-inch width in three matte color options: black (nero), burgundy (vino) and cream (crema) – with bright chrome and brushed stainless steel details. It has since expanded to include 30 and 48 in. models. “Each range carries the signature of Antonio, son of founder Francesco Bertazzoni, and the man whose energy and imagination made Bertazzoni wood burning stoves popular throughout Italy in the beginning of the last century.”

The line offers stainless-steel worktops, six different sized burners for versatility and accuracy, a child safety ignition system, a triple-glaze door to ensure minimum heat loss, and storage beneath the oven. Multi-sector burners provide high-efficiency power with a delicate low-simmer function and heavy-duty cast iron grates allow for the easy movement of any kind of pot. The Heritage Series features a one piece worktop with uniquely sealed burners, a seamless surface which makes cleaning easy, and a wide area infrared gas grill for powerful searing and broiling. The units are designed to be installed flush with kitchen cabinets, incorporating a 4-in. backguard for standard installation or a 2-in. backsplash for island installation. A design-matched colored hood canopy is also available, as is a larger backsplash.

The 30″ gas range has four burners, the 36″ six, and the 48” includes both six burners and a griddle. The range hood canopy is corresponding sizes, as is the backsplash. “Precision-engineered to the highest specifications by the Bertazzoni family, who have been making high-quality ranges since the beginning of the last century, every appliance bearing the Bertazzoni name represents an unwavering commitment to quality.”
