Launched at last week’s edition of Northmodern in Copenhagen, Muuto has introduced new pendant lamp Ambit to its lighting range.

TAF Architects’ Ambit pendant features an aluminum lampshade and rubber cord

Designed by distinguished Stockholm-based design and architecture studio TAF Architects, the Ambit lamp is a functional lamp with a strong character.

Ambit´s lampshade, made using a traditional brazier stove, is press spun, polished and finally painted by hand.

"With Ambit we worked with the form and proportions in a very thorough and almost meticulous way,” say  TAF Architects. “There is a dynamic between the linear and rounded shape that creates an attractive outline. A timeless pendant that never becomes boring to look at. The lampshade is made of a lightweight spun material and the dual-tone, with the inner white, adds a delicate contrast."
