The Eco-Friendly Currant Extension Dining Table

The Currant Extension Dining Table by Greenington has all the hallmarks of fine Mid-Century Modern design: it’s sleek and minimalistic, unembellished and functional, versatile and aesthetically compatible with contemporary interiors.

The wrinkle here is that it’s constructed of bamboo, a rapidly growing, renewable resource that “reaches maturity in five years or less and releases nearly 35 percent more oxygen back into the atmosphere.”

This particular piece adds to its sustainable credentials via a 20” extension leaf, essentially making it two tables in one.

Options for Currant include caramelized or rich black walnut. The table contains no MDF, plywood, or particle board. It also features scratch-resistant floor protectors and a cable-assisted ball bearing table glide for easy use of the extension leaf.
