Catifa Up

Arper’s iconic Catifa 53 Chair gets a bit of a makeover this year with Catifa Up.

Catifa 53, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina in 2001, is “The original: the inspiration that extends to Arper itself”—a piece that defines sensuous simplicity with its accommodating form and surpassing versatility.

Catifa Up is an updating executed by the very same design trio, retaining all the excellence of 53 while extending the backrest, adding optional armrests, fleshing things out with new plush padding, and expanding the range of upholstery options.

Catifa Up may be finished in polished or powder coated aluminum with fabric, leather, or faux leather. Base options include five-star or trestle, swivel or fixed.

Catifa Up is right at home in both contract and residential environments—not to mention hotels, restaurants, shops, and libraries.
