Limited Edition Velvet Series 7 by lala Berlin and Fritz Hansen

In case the iconic Series 7 Chair isn’t sexy enough for you, fashion brand lala Berlin has teamed up with Fritz Hansen to issue a limited edition velvet version of Arne Jacobsen’s renowned piece.

The special edition Series 7 is all dressed up in “deep, dark and enchanting colours”—Lala Barberry and Lala Caspian to be exact. The Lala Caspian includes a matching Dot stool, and all three pieces come with matching powder-coated legs for a monochromatic look.

Leyla Piedayesh, the designer behind lala Berlin, took six months to find “a perfect match between the softest velvet in the warmest colours, enhacing the feminine shapes of the Series 7.” Her middle eastern heritage may have inspired the rich jewel tones, which put me in mind of opulent carpets.

The velvet version is ideal for any hospitality setting looking to increase the sexy factor.
