Board:Chair by I’m:Board

Living in Colorado, I see my fair share of furniture made from skis. The repurposing ethic is great but the results are usually lacking. Leave it to the Danish, however, to turn skateboard decks into fine furniture. Board:Chair by I’m:Board is nothing short of beautiful.

“Made for relaxing and daydreaming,” Board:Chair uses sustainable bamboo skateboard decks to create ergonomic furniture in the Scandinavian tradition.

With a Danish Birchwood frame and optional New Zealand wool upholstery, Board:Chair is a playful take on iconic Danish chairs. It is handmade in Denmark in cooperation with cabinet makers, exhibiting the area’s furniture-making expertise and love of natural materials.

Designed by Kasper Bugge Møller, Board:Chair is timeless and classic—and comfortable. The curvature of the pieces make for an inviting frame, so the chair looks and feels good. A coordinating footstool is also available.
