Vitra Introduces New Fabric Options for Its Grand Repos Chair

Inspired by the comfort of one's home, designer Antonio Citterio has redeveloped his popular Grand Repos lounge chair for Swiss furniture company Vitra in a limited-edition velour fabric called "Nobile."

The soft-to-the-touch velour fabric lends a sophisticated touch to the award-winning chair, and calls to mind the grand hotel lobbies and gentleman's clubs found throughout Europe.

The updated edition of Grand Repos is available in three plush colors--ivy, dark blue, and bordeaux--along with leather in either fossil or brown. And as with the original model, which Vitra introduced in 2011, the lounge chair still boasts its prized high-winged backrest and swivel base.
