Rick Tegelaar’s Constructed Surface Table

Dutch designer Rick Tegelaar has made a name for himself by appropriating used or cast-off materials into new green products.

The Constructed Surface Table is a great example. Assembled from sawn strips of plywood (typically fodder for the garbage dump), the surface of these attractive tables consists of this would-be detritus.

"By bringing the material together in a fishbone pattern, there is no limit in the size or thickness of the table, and even the smallest residual piece can be used."

The Constructed Surface Table is made of birch plywood. The powder-coated legs are steel and stainless steel. Standard dimensions are 30" high x 33" wide x 68" long. Custom sizes are also available.
