Fresh New Ideas For Ceilings From AJK Design Studio

One of the most often overlooked areas in an contract environment is the ceiling. If not left exposed, ceilings are generally painted a neutral white and fit with standard lighting. Oakland, CA, based textile designer turned grille manufacturer Annie Cantor has conceived a beautiful alternative to both.

The AJK Ceiling Squares are offered in steel, brass, bronze, or aluminium, in three sizes, sixteen patterns, and a wealth of finishes. Combined with backing materials made from acoustic board, metal, or 63 hues of wool felt, the ceiling squares offer designers infinite new possibilities for contract space design.

Patterns with names such as 'Transit', 'Gridlock', and 'Suspension', the ceiling sqaures create an playful urban feeling to any environment, while cleverly incorporating sound absorption.

The AJK Ceiling Squares are available from mid-May, for more information visit
