Titled ‘Nordic’, Sina Pearson’s latest line is a bold, modern take on classic Scandinavian textiles combining textural plain weaves with familiar folk patterns

With a color palette inspired by Scandinavia’s landscape, vernacular architecture and winter seasons, Nordic nods to the New York-based designer’s proud Scandinavian heritage – all four of the Pearson’s grandparents emigrated from Sweden in the early 19th century.

The collection comprises two patterns; the plain weave Cozy, a richly textured solid in six colorways, and Folklore, a zig-zagging jacquard weave with a raised relief design that echoes traditional knitted and embroidered Nordic clothing.

Folklore comes in four colorways-Abyss, Midnight Sun, Glacier and Lava (neutral grey with charcoal, charcoal with gold, deep blue and teal; fiery reds) and Cozy is offered in six colorways-Marigold, Barn Red, Lagoon, Snow, Oatmeal and Stormy-colors that reference the red, blue and gold found in Nordic urban and rural houses, and the cool whites and greys of a Nordic winter.
