Following on from the critically acclaimed Plumen 001, Plumen 002 is a new energy-saving light bulb that creates mellow ambience.

Based on the belief that reducing energy consumption should feel like a positive, life enhancing choice, not a compromise, Plumen launched the Plumen 001 in 2010 as a bright alternative to the inefficient 60W incandescent light bulb. Although the Plumen 001 is perfect for bright spaces the brand wanted to introduce a designer bulb that would be better suited to dimly lit spaces, like bars, coffee shops or your living room.

Comparable to a 30W incandescent light bulb, the fluid and sensual Plumen 002 has a warmer tone than its predecessor creating a softer light. In addition it requires less than 25% of the energy that is required to power a 30W incandescent light bulb.

The design launched last week on Kickstarter to help fund the first production run for worldwide distribution.

About the manufacturer: Plumen are the creators of the world’s first designer low energy light bulbs. The British brand have taken a familiar, existing design and transformed it so that the energy efficient light bulb is now a desirable object to show and enjoy. Launched in 2010, the Plumen family has expanded to include two sizes of energy efficient light bulb and five colors of Drop Cap Pendant Sets. In 2014, Plumen launched their second energy-saving light bulb design, the Plumen 002.
