The Mews collection by Barber Osgerby for Mutina is inspired by the landscape, the history and the personality of the British capital.

Available in 8 colors inspired by London, with names such as fog, clay, pigeon, rope and lead, each colour is made up of 15 different tones that replicate the changing light within the city. floors, walls, tiles, Mews, Mutina, Barber Osgerby, London, British design, color,

Jay Osgerby explains, "We aimed to capture the natural tones and variations in light and shade that are present in our surroundings, the landscape of London.” Edward Barber adds, "We have longstanding interests in color and tonal composition. For our collection, instead of producing one color that is homogenous – we have selected one base color and created a palette of many shades."

Not only do the tile’s colors reflect the city’s landscape but so so their shapes. From bricks to wooden herringbone floors, Barber Osgerby were inspired by the variety of textures that make up London's infrastructures.

About the manufacturer: Italian ceramic brand Mutina has over thirty years of history in the production of ceramics. In 2006 the brand changed its direction when the brand decided to focus on exclusive designs, that combine tailor-made hand-crafted production with technology. This new course ties in with a new way of looking at the role of ceramics, which are not considered just floor or wall coverings anymore but have become an integral part of the interior design of a home: a concept shared by the designers working at Mutina and appealing to those who choose Mutina. As the Creative Director for Mutina, Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola is responsible for the look and feel for the entire brand.
