New Furniture from KWH

Working under the studio name of KWH, designer, craftsman and Rhode Island School of Design graduate Kai-wei Hsu has introduced a new collection of seating lighting and cabinetry.

KWH Secretaire Full Front

Clean lines, craftsmanship and attention to detail characterize KWH’s collection.

The Brooklyn-based studio utilizes traditional joinery methods and finishes that are chosen to enhance the natural beauty of the carefully selected wood materials. The new collection includes a beautifully crafted cabinet called Secretaire. Made from three different types of wood – white oak, black walnut and Port Orford cedar – the Secretaire sits on brass legs and features a fold down, leather writing surface.

KWH Etagere Slight Angle Full 2

Echoing the same serene aesthetic as the Secrataire  cabinet, the Etagere shelves are also made from white oak with accents of brass on the feet and the optional shelving supports. The oak has a cerused finish that showcases the beauty of the wood grain.

KWH Bleached Endgrain Lamp Angle Full

Made form stack-matched white oak, the End Grain lamp also features a cerused oak finish that makes a decorative feature out of the material itself. The lamp is completed by a simple paper shade.

KWH Sling Chair 1

With a nod to the furniture designs of the mid-century modern era, the Sling chair has all the hallmarks of a future classic. The Sling chair’s simple design features beautifully executed joinery details in handsome oiled walnut and a comfortable black leather sling seat.
