Synapse Pendant Lamp by Apparatus

Synapse Pendant Lamp by Apparatus

Made up of two halves, the disjointed form of the Synapse lamp by New York-based lighting brand Apparatus was inspired by the mechanics of neural synapses.

Combining aged brass with matt-finished translucent glass, the Synapse Pendant Lamp by Apparatus appears both timeworn and modern all at once.

The lamp is composed of two hand-molded glass domes that are made using a 4-part firing process.

A series of brass rods with a central orb that floats in transit between the two glass hemispheres forms the lamp’s triangular frame.
