New Dan Golden Design Concept Series: Museum Seating
Inspired by visits to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, the studio of New York-based artists and designers Dan Golden and Jen Huh have developed a new concept for public seating.
The design could complement grand museum spaces while remaining inviting to the people who visit them on a daily basis
With characteristic conceptual design that takes familiar forms and revives them with a sense of both humor and modernity, the design is intended to complement the world’s grandest museums and galleries. See the designers’ concept sketches and renderings and read more about their studio below:
About the Designer: Dan Golden Studio is the New York-based art and design practice of Dan Golden and Jen Huh. Dan Golden received his Bachelor of Arts in Painting & Conceptual Design from San Francisco State University, studying under renowned Bay Area artists Robert Bechtle, Paul Pratchenko, and Cherie Raciti. Mixing sophisticated humor with high design, Golden has established himself as a unique voice in the design industry. Golden’s work has been featured in numerous magazines and websites. Jen Huh is an artist and designer whose practice focuses on concept development, blending humor, text/typography, fine arts, and product design. Huh received her MFA in Creative Writing with a concentration in Poetry from The New School, and has worked as a teaching artist in the New York public schools system. Huh is currently Assistant Director of Advising for Architectural, Interior and Product Design at Parsons.
