Planet by Foscarini: A New Form Of Lighting

The striking seams of Foscarini‘s new Planet lamp by Italian studio Changedesign are both structural and decorative.

Inspired by astronauts clothing, three pieces of hi-tech fabric are stitched together to create a spherical lamp

The light-weight, white diffuser is embroidered with a decorative pattern that also provides the design with structure. Foscarini describe Planet as ‘not a traditional lamp, but rather an unconventional illuminating object’. Changedesign wanted the Planet lamp to recall the stars which instead of creating light, absorb it and reflect it back.

The lamp is available in two different sizes, Planet Piccola or Planet Grande, with either a subtle white or dramatic red embroidered pattern. Planet is perfect for both domestic and contract spaces.
