Housed inside the Taiwan Green Electronics Pavilion, the special selection of products from 16 manufacturers demonstrated Taiwan's growth in the green technology sector. An estimated 72,000 visitors from 78 countries visited the show. Scroll down for some highlights:
The waterproof WishLamp from COCOKASA Lighting Corp. is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and features over 50 shades of color with an automatic color change program.
The Asteria Series MR16 from Aeon Lighting Technology Inc. is winner of a Red Dot Design Award, iF Product Design Award, and Japan’s Good Design Award (G-Mark). The light uses high-density aluminum to increase heat dissipation, saving up to 90 percent energy compared to a standard halogen lamp.
The One table lamp made by Just Power Integrated Technology Inc. can work as a flashlight in an emergency.
The Angel LED lamp by Home Resource Industrial Co., also a winner of the Red Dot Design Award, is portable and can be switched on by a light touch.
The Mighty Mini Fan and Blower from Sunonwealth Electric Machine Industry Co., Ltd.,
was honored with the Taiwan Excellence Silver Award. The set world’s smallest and
thinnest cooling fans, and can effectively reduce the internal temperature of
portable devices by 10⁰C.
The Solar School Lamp from RITEK Corporation uses solar energy to power its LEDs.
The E Ink Pearl ePaper Display from E Ink Holdings Inc., winner of the 2011 IET Innovations Award for Electronics, can save 60 percent energy compared to an LCD screen.
About the Green Trade Project Office: The Green Trade Project Office was established in March 2011 in response to the fast-growing trend of green business, a sector which has gained importance with introduction of the increasing number of national and international environmental standards. The aims of the Green Trade Project Office are promoting Taiwan’s green products and services via diverse marketing channels; offering consulting services to domestic companies regarding issues of green trade; and strengthening Taiwan’s overall competitiveness in green economy. It is hoped that with more resources dedicated Taiwan’s contribution to the global green trade as well as to the overall environment will be further expanded.
