American kitchen and bathroom brand Kohler have developed a bluetooth-enabled showerhead that streams music from smartphones into the shower.
Moxie is a Bluetooth-enabled showerhead with an integrated, portable speaker capsule.
Proving that technology has come a long way since the invention of the waterproof radio back in the 1980s, this month Kohler launched the Bluetooth-enabled Moxie showerhead. Seeking to turn the shower into a complete sensory experience, Moxie syncs with an iPhone or other smartphone via Bluetooth to stream the bather’s personal playlist.
Not just for use in the shower, the speaker, held in place by a strong magnet, is removable and can be moved around to deliver music anywhere in the house. Kohler performance showering product manager Leslie Bronson explains, “We’re seeing a growing demand for music in the bathroom. The Moxie showerhead is the first of its kind to combine the delivery of water and music. And with the proximity of the Bluetooth-enabled speaker pod, bathers are simultaneously showered with music and a best-in-class spray experience.”
