Amos Design's replicas correspond to pieces created for the Villa Tugendhat in 1930
Though the original Brno chair was designed along with a dining table and coffee table, today it is mainly used in offices. The first chair was relatively hard and was upholstered with parchment. Another model had a frame constructed with a flat steel bar and more comfortable upholstery.
The reconstruction's replicas were reproduced from Mies's flexible-tube design, re-imagined as a low lounge chair. Dimensions have been adjusted to provide more comfort and the seat and backrest are upholstered in Spinneybeck leather. Along with the chair, Amos Design is also producing a side table with a bent tube frame and white Carrara marble top.
