Good Things Come in Small Packages: Profile Chair by Knauf and Brown

Once a year, family and friends descend upon our little house for Christmas Eve dinner, a visit that prompts a frenzied search for suitable seating. Invariably, we rely on our neighbors and their 1970’s brown metal folding chairs (complete with plaid upholstery in tan and avocado green). While these are necessary for the party, they do much to dampen the holiday mood. But the search for a stylish folding chair is over, thanks to Profile Chair by Vancouver-based design duo Knauf and Brown.

Space-Saving Seat Spotlights a Slim Silhouette

This metal and wood number is named for its dominant characteristic: Profile Chair features a slim profile indeed. When folded, it becomes unassuming and linear—something you can store without taking up valuable storage. When open, Profile Chair’s metal frame reveals a lovely wooden seat and backrest. The materials balance each other quite nicely—especially toward the base, where the chair rests on two metal and two wooden legs.

While Profile Chair is great for residential applications, it is ideal for educational venues. Perfect for dorm rooms and classrooms, Profile will keep students comfortable (and mobile) without compromising style.
