Colorful Koloro Plywood Desks by Ichiro Inc. and Torafu Architects

“Ichiro (Ichiro Inc.) hit upon the idea of designing ‘tools for living’ that would revolutionize the concept of furniture,” starts the reasoning behind the Koloro plywood desks made by the Japanese furniture manufacturer, Ichiro Inc. and Torafu Architects.

Brighten Your Work Space with a Vibrantly Individual Koloro Desk

Known as “a place to nest at ease”, the colorful designs of isolated work spaces are both inviting and private. As they suggest, one can design the brilliant rainbow of interior colors to work in tandem with their idea of great design. Or, as Ichiro Inc. states on their website, the Koloro desks are “more a tool to create a space all your own, than a piece of furniture. A tool to create your own world.”

The maker of polyester decorative plywood, the company known as Ichiro Inc. creates all of their paints in-house to ensure the colors are perfectly made-to-order for each project. With their vibrant approach to designing desks and stools (see the Koloro stool of the same product line) Ichiro creates a fun relationship between work and play, between personalization and custom-manufactured creations, and as they say in their company mission, “a relationship betwee everyday spaces and furniture … aimed at forging a new kind of connection between furniture and people.”
