Salone 2012 Preview: Plot Seating by Osko + Deichmann for Brunner

“In the nineties we were both attracted by the energy of the formerly divided Berlin absorbing creative young people from all over the world,” begins the Osko + Deichmann product design duo about their team’s inception. Since 1996, when they both studied at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin, Osko + Deichmann have done everything from set design at fashion shows to occasional table design without blinking an eye.

Modular Contract Seating Transforms an Institution’s Interior Space into a Unique Vision

Staying in Berlin after their graduation, Osko + Deichmann continue to create masterpieces. Of their most recent pieces for the European contract manufacturing powerhouse, Brunner, the gorgeous Plot modular seating system stands out for institutions and education design among other contract and residential markets.

Scheduled for release at Salone del Milano this week, Plot comes with identical modules, each made with a block base and cushions that can be specified in height and color based on several options that Osko + Deichmann and Brunner have chosen. While the size and features can change from one block seating or angled pole segment, that may come with or without backrests and arms, the entire collection is pulled together through the modular design of its parts using a myriad of deep colors and the matching base that can be changed at a moment’s notice.

Said to have been “inspired by cascaded formations in nature,” by Osko + Deichmann themselves, the Plot modern seating system provides an endless amount of seating possibilities.
