Salvage Dresser by Fin Art Co.

Based in the metropolitan center East of the Rockies, the design team that created Fin Art Co. seems to be bound and determined to keep Denver on the modern, green edge even if they’re landlocked. With the sophisticated look of their Redefine Collection, and the Salvage Dresser in particular, the duo is right on the mark.

Green Wood Design: Salvage Dresser of the Redefine Collection by Fin Art Co.

Childhood friends Rob McGowan and Ben Olson graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with the same idea about design: the cool, modern pieces cost much more than their salaries could afford. Not the first company to develop a design philosophy that balances cost and manufacturing efficiency with fabulous looks for the interior home, Fin Art Co. found their niche in the field as a scrappy pair that looks at old wood from warehouses with white lacquered MDF and bar key pulls with steel pallet legs as dressers, credenzas, desks, and dining tables.

“There’s a lot of reasons why this dresser is so interesting – to start, the face of it is the wood from an entire warehouse cart (the same cart that’s all pretty in the catalog) and chop it into 6 drawer faces,” writes Fin Art Co. about their Salvage Dresser. “We keep all the holes and scratches and funkiness that cart gained throughout its life and bring it anew as a big ‘ol dresser, and add bar key pulls, steel legs taken from old pallets, and then to surprise everyone there’s a bright splash of blue (which can be a any custom color you’d like).”

Solidly built with a colorful interior, the Salvage Dresser measures 36″H x 62″W x 20″D and matches the other pieces that make up the Redefine Collection by Fin Art Co.
