The Wool Felt Shade Warms Up the Dolores Pendant by Shine Labs in Orange or Anthracite
Across the states from our NY headquarters, the San Francisco-based Shine Labs "offers a meticulously curated collection of contemporary lighting and accessories", or as they say, using the material itself as inspiration. It's Dolores Pendant is one of a dozen lamps designed by the company that showcases a majority of pendant lamps in their lighting category. Fine tune your Shine Labs search with the Moire Collection or Nordic Collection, or stick with the individual lighting designs - like the Dolores - for a one-of-a-kind feel.
Made using the renewable felt material that glows slightly atop its bulb, the Dolores Pendant comes in either orange or anthracite (charcoal gray) colors. Using die cut wool felt panels sewn together, the seams are then stitched externally for a handmade effect. Within its soft exterior, the nickel-plated wire frame keeps the felt tightly wrapped around its structure. Along with the shade, there is six feet of field-cuttable cord to a round ceiling canopy that comes with a 120 volt, 75 watt A19 medium base or the optional high-efficiency version with a GU-24 TwistLock fluorescent and 18 Watt warm white 2700K bulb.
A bold orange or deep anthracite felt shade accentuates the plush feel of wool felt atop the Dolores Pendant lampshade by Shine Labs. Together, the sustainable material and energy-efficient options help to make it even more desirable option.
About the Designer: Shine Labs owner James Henderson uses designers from around the world to come up with the best lighting designs to represent his west coast company. Before starting his company in 2009, Henderson had spent twenty-two years designing and manufacturing lighting to gain his expertise in the field - aside from the fact that his family is linked to the founder of the Walker Art Center and a former president of the California College of the Arts.
