Hon’s Heroic Huddle Tables Promote On-The-Spot Collaboration

You may remember from junior high days—the time when seventh and eighth graders become fledgling essayists—the familiar admonition not to write a “laundry list.” The aphorism refers to the decidedly un-writerly habit of merely listing all the attributes of a particular argumentative position, rather than weaving them into a cogent whole. Though this technique may not hold sway for a positional essay, I really see no other tack to take in regards to Hon’s Huddle Table. This workhorse of a conference table is chock-full of so many laudable features that space will permit me to list but a few.

Hon’s Huddle Table is Tasked with Accommodating the Millennial Multi-Tasking Environment

I’m exaggerating of course, but the Huddle Table is loaded with a litany of lovely, convenient options to address the changing cultural milieu. As Hon says, “work happens everywhere: in project rooms, in meeting and learning spaces, in impromptu collaborations where two or three people put their heads together.”

Make that twenty or thirty, if the pressing problem should call for such. Because Hon’s innovative ganging hardware and electrical daisy chain configuration allow one table to morph into many, each equally wired and thus prepped with whatever powered infrastructure the day’s dealings should warrant.

Huddle comes in multiple sizes, offering widths of 18, 24, and 30 inches and lengths from 48 to 96 inches. The basic table is rectangular, but Hon also offers the visual intrigue of a half-round option. And don’t even get me started on aesthetic choices, because it brings out the laundry list-er in me: four different foot options, including glides and casters; T-Mold, Edgeband, or Knife Style edges; and colors galore—20 laminate finishes, 15 edge colors, and 10 base paint colors at last count.

Lastly, there’s Huddle’s extraordinary facility with cord management. All Huddle tables sport a pass-through wire trough that secures cordage up and under the table and well out of view. Further, four grommet options allow users to customize this surface feature to best accommodate the electrical apparatus in question. And lastly, the daisy chain configuration mentioned above allows consecutive wiring of up to 12 tables from a single electrical source.
