Luxurious Lounge: Silvanis Seating by Halcon

Designed by Edward F. Weller III for Minnesota-based manufacturer Halcon, Silvanis Lounge Seating is meant to have “an undercurrent of luxury” and a timeless appeal. Although Halcon specializes in executive office casegoods and furniture, the company intended to broaden their possible markets with the Silvanis sofa and chair, hoping the modern look of the collection “would have application in both contract and residential interiors.”

Classic Contract with Timeless Aesthetic

The pieces in the Silvanis Lounge Seating group offer two main options that change the appearance of the furniture somewhat dramatically. Available fully upholstered or with vertical grain wood panels, Silvanis seating fits in anywhere—from home library to office lounge. The fully upholstered version lends itself to residential applications, while the wood paneled option works in corporate environments (and the wood sides will ensure durability).

All Silvanis Lounge Seating is supported on solid wood legs. If you choose the sofa or chair with the veneer sides, then you can select your preferred finish and choose the solid wood legs to match. Halcon offers so many woods to choose from—everything from standard cherry to exotic zebrawood. Wherever the wood is sourced, Halcon is committed to using only sustainably harvested wood.

About the Manufacturer: Halcon is a Minnesota-based company that specializes in contract furniture, specifically casegoods, conference and meeting tables, and lounge and guest seating. The family-owned company prides itself on manufacturing everything 100% in-house using hand-selected wood veneers and solids. Halcon’s “deep connection to the woodlands of Minnesota” has led them to use only sustainably-harvested woods.
