From Ink to Internet: Eno by PolyVision for Steelcase

Created by PolyVision for Steelcase, the Eno interactive whiteboard gives the classroom “infinite possibilities.” This environmentally certified whiteboard has no cords (yippee for all who trip on cords), cables, or expensive installation. It’s a 3-in-1 combination dry erase, magnetic, and interactive whiteboard that is easy to use and inexpensive to own (a boon for schools and colleges).

The secret is in the surface: Eno features PolyVision’s industry-leading e3 environmental ceramicsteel™ surface. It’s an incredibly durable material on which you can make notes with a dry erase marker or with the Bluetooth-enabled stylus—you can also put up printed notes using magnets. Should a student mistakenly write on the ceramicsteel™ surface with a permanent marker, any alcohol-based cleaner will remove it.

Eno is also environmentally friendly, which is something you cannot say about most interactive boards. It is made of recycled materials. And since it does not draw from power outlets (and no cords means no costly installation), schools can reduce their carbon footprint.

All technical components are consolidated into the Bluetooth stylus, which means that if technology fails, you can fix it by simply replacing the stylus. Up to three students can use Eno at once, which is an excellent tool for teachers, because the interactive board can also be collaborative. Any notes made during class with the stylus can be saved to your computer, so you can continue the same lesson during your next class.
