Hip to Be Square: Delta by Segis USA

Contract furniture can be exciting and unique—even avant-garde—when the company behind the products is dedicated to bringing Italian design to the U.S. market. Such is the case with Segis, whose line of seating includes lounge furniture, plastic and metal chairs, and innovative tables for a wide variety of applications and uses. From unusual stackable chairs like the colorful Poppystar to curvaceous lobby seating like the Highway system, Segis turns ordinary public spaces into memorable landscapes.

Contract Seating Creates Privacy within Public Spaces

In their line of lounge seating is Delta, a boxy group of two chairs, two sofas, and an ottoman. With a regular or high back, the Delta upholstered furniture transforms your time waiting in hotel lobbies or airport gates into little moments of relaxation. With sides at the same height as the back, the Delta seating offers a private niche within a larger space, allowing users to feel protected and cozy. Sitting on four thin, angled legs, Delta pieces appear light and carefree; the slim lift of the base works against the boxy heft of the upholstered seats. While all models give you a piece of privacy, the high-backed sofa and chair are my favorite, providing a greater sense of individual space, a personal sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle of daily urban life.
