Bold Solids or Doodle Designs: The Form Chair by Deadgood Studio

Why did we used to have such ugly desk-chairs in school? I wondered it back then and I wonder it now. Too bad school administrators hadn’t gotten wind of the UK-based Deadgood‘s Form Chair and realized that there was truly no need for hideous webbed seating. From here on out however, it’s can be great looking, long-lasting design through and through with a little help from designers Dan Ziglam and Elliot Brook.

In a few different versions to pick from, the Form Chair is available in a bespoke Formica Laminate, upholstered version, and in a Jon Burgerman collaboration that is known as the “Doodle” version. Made with a clean profile kept simple and sleek, the Form Chair has contributed to the award-winning range of furnishings that Deadgood Studio has created out of plywood with the decorative surface. By using the artistic flavor of Burgerman to amplify its potential as a fun chair for contract use, the Form “Doodle” Chair uses a screen printed drawing that is solidly placed inside of the laminate on the seat’s surface.
