De Giulio’s Kallista Collection Masterfully Combines Style with Extreme Function

Whether you fancy yourself a master chef or simply love to entertain, De Giulio’s collection for Kallista features three single-basin kitchen sinks, Multiere, Soltiere and Bacifiore. All offered in 16-gauge stainless steel, the “consummate neutral” according to De Giulio, the sinks are as durable as they are striking.

Soltiere 33″ Single Basin Sink. Designed by Mick De Giulio for Kallista.

Multiere, pictured top, is a 45-inch, multi-tiered sink offered with standard or deluxe accessories. Soltiere, pictured above, is about ten inches smaller at 33 inches and lighter on the wallet. Because they are designed with a corner drain, a disposal will be set in the right back corner — maximizing usable basin space and saving coveted storage space underneath the sink.

Both sinks offer task-oriented accessories that make cooking prep and clean-up, well, kind of fun. A flatware tray allows for rinsing cutlery and keeping utensils off the bottom of the sink and a removable teak cutting board sits on a glide which can be repositioned across the length of the sinks as needed. Multiere can be upgraded to include premium accessories including a colander holder, deluxe cutting board with knife holder, sharpening rod, dishcloth holder and drain board. Well worth the extra $400. De Giulio designed Multiere with multiple tiers so the accessories can be moved up, down, left and right to work with you in the kitchen. Soltiere has a single tier at the top of the sink where accessories can be placed.

Bacifiore is a handcrafted entertaining sink that screams to be tucked into the chicest of wet bars. The polished, distressed finish doesn’t show fingerprints or the patina of natural aging.
