Lén Dilegno’s Party of Five at IIDEX 2010

L©n Dilegno

is a new wall and floor covering collection made by the 25 year old Italian company Gierre Tranciati S.p.A. They say it’s their “innovative process of stratifying and adhering several plies of real wood veneers” that achieves “incomparable stability” that sets them apart from other companies. Although this is probably true, it’s also due to their five lines within the collection that strengthen it, each with an individual fort©: Hi Tech, Basic, Smart, Memory, and Design.

Memory. Designed by L©n Dilegno.

To start with, Hi Tech blends innovative processes with an eye for natural wood design. In your choice of maple, teak, American walnut, natural oak, and three different shades of oak the line is offered in two thicknesses of 10 or 14 mm. A mirror image to Hi Tech, the Basic line offers the same wood design options and technical features. To keep it economical for larger or cost-efficient projects, the thickness is reduced to 8 mm but maintains the company’s reputation for quality goods.

Smart

is a collection created to accomplish any type of floor or wall requirement. It is made in two different thicknesses of 9 or 13 mm, and comes in four formats of different widths to create interesting compositions that cater to the project’s specifications. The wood is offered in numerous light to dark shades of dyed oak, natural oak, and other exotic woods. It can be laid with glue or in a floating system (like the other L©n Dilegno lines), and can be easily jointed with aluminum slats.

Smart.

Characterized by the look of wood flooring from years past in their rich, grainy, and knotty textures, the Memory line gives off warmth and familiarity. Bleached oak, natural oak, and dark oak woods are available, and they come in thicknesses of either 10 or 14 mm.

Finally, the stunning Design line by Flavio Bullo takes elements of Japanese nature and breaks the line into four categories: Shiro, Kuriro, Kiro, and Hairo. Like a creative current running through your project, Design’s wide selection of different modules allows you the freedom to create interesting backdrops, patterns and weaves onto your flooring or wall surfaces with 12 different coordinated colors in panels of 8 to 10 mm thicknesses.
