Studio Lawrence’s Last Supper Table

As the name suggests, The Last Supper Table was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s legendary masterpiece, “featuring the most famous yet unseen table” – and serves as an interpretation of what lies beneath the cloth. The bold tabletop is comprised of individual elements of increasing widths, derived from the first five values of the Fibonacci series. Beyond the symbolic and conceptual aspects of the design, Studio Lawrence‘s table is widely functional thanks to the modular MDF planks that make up its surface – and alter its length.

The Last Supper Table is Studio Lawrence’s signature piece. Comprised of two elements: the legs (available in three design options) and tabletop, its form is rather simplistic. The MDF planks are available in 11 different color options, such that both the aesthetic and length (beyond the standard 2.1 m) of the table can be drastically altered. The table is created by hand, confirming the design firm’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The table is both seminal and contemporary, allowing each user to realize his or her own vision for da Vinci’s legendary piece.
