Studio 65’s – Bocca Lip Sofa

Its that time of the month again. The time where the world is divided into two; the "Haves" and the "Have-nots". The “Haves" parade their partners with nauseating affection in public – the "Have-nots" on the other hand, attempt to couch self-pity in rants that V-day exists only as a profit scheme engineered by evil greeting card companies. Love may or may not be in the air for you, however it's hard to discount a tradition that was started in antiquity by the now infamous Saint Valentine.

Lips Sofa. Designed by Studio 65 for Heller.

We 3ringers like to do things differently and tend to surpass the clich©d holiday routine. Who needs kisses and chocolates for a V-day gift? To start they have been done to death, and likewise, almost any pop album isn’t complete without the paroxysm of not having endured it. Defy the obvious and banish the banal by treating yourself this year to the Heller Bocca love seat.  Bocca as many of you may know means "mouth" in Italian and informs this love seat whose design is also (allegedly) inspired by Marilyn Monroe's famous pout.

Studio 65’s - Bocca Lip Sofa

The Bocca Sofa, designed by Franco Audrito, was first issued in 1970 and then re-editioned by Studio 65 in 2004. Made of soft resin, this lover's delight is available appropriately only in red and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Some may dismiss the Sofa as whimsical – how else could you keep a kiss embedded as a permanent fixture on your home turf? The Heller Bocca is definitely quirky, keeping both your eccentricity in tact and demonstrating an acute sense of personal flair. What stands out better than a big and bold reference to Surrealism? The best part? You can sit on this kiss-couch and revel in the irony of the situation too. Here’s hoping that you land a few kisses this Valentine’s Day while stretching on out the succulence of this permanent lip lock.
