Salone 2025: Back to the Shape

French furniture manufacturer Ligne Roset is paying homage to eras gone by in their Back to the Shape exhibit at Mohd Home Design during Salone del Mobile 2025.

Sandra

The Sandra settee will be on display, as will Kashima, both vintage designs “re-edited” for modern day.

Sandra Sofa by Ligne Roset

The Sandra settee is a wrap-around sofa. The design is by Annie Hiéronimus. Think of this couch as one that envelopes you in equal support and softness. The high-density foam is how the fully integrated piece keeps its shape, and the backrest of the couch has a wrap-around effect to it, giving one a moment of pause at how it might have been constructed.

For a shift in perspective, look up (literally!) at mohd to see an upside-down lilac Sandra suspended from the ceiling.

Kashima

Kashima is an all-foam armchair by Michel Ducaroy that offers customers “English” comfort. Its agreeable appearance is soft relief, both in rounded edges and curvy lines. It’s almost as if bubble wrap opened itself up and made you a bubbled seat.

Kashima Sofa

The buttoning is made using invisible tie rods within the foam, and the fully quilted cover is “pinched” at the seams and reinforced by interior laces. Find your spot wherever you like in this nest of a seat.

Kashima comes as a three-seat sofa, a two-seat medium sofa (with or without an arm), or as a small ottoman, on view on the wall at the exhibit.

Back to the Shape is on display at Mohd Home Design on Via Filippo Turati 3, Milan, from April 8-13.
