A bench for the home? the workplace? or just the imagination?

Joséphine, designed by Marina Declarey for Cider Edition—and showing this week at Maison & Objet—is certainly lovely to look at, with its interplay of vertical and horizontal forms, its softening pillows and upholstery, and its thin legs with their metallic sheen.

It’s an elegant ensemble, beautiful and beguiling, brimming with color and texture, and biophilic to boot, but realistically, probably not so great for sitting.
