What does it mean for a dishwasher to be “ergonomic”?

On my short list of qualities to deserve that designation, I’d say it needs to load easily, elegantly, and intuitively; it must close softly and seamlessly; and it must facilitate intelligent operation, both in terms of organization and actually cleaning the dishes.
