Welcome to the world of Karim Rashid and welcome to Karlotta.
For those who may think of the iconic designer's output as all asynchronous plastic and futuresque, hyper-real utopia, Karlotta may seem like a bit of a departure.
Closer inspection of Karim's oeuvre reveals this is not the case, however. Especially given his recent alliance with DelightFULL and Essential Home for Kasual, an eclectic and customizable collection that's both casual and luxurious: "the best of both worlds, all wrapped up in a selection of incredibly designed furniture and lighting."
While Karlotta's main calling card is its candy-coated pastel hue, it offers formal innovation as well, with round and oblong shapes playfully perched atop one another like a giant's collection of Jordan Almonds.
Other pieces in the Kasual collection include the geometric Kandi modular, the serpintining Kay, and the elegant clamshell-esque Klaud.
