And whether you reside in Europe, Mexcio, the U.S., or Dubai, you’re likely familiar with the work of French designer Christopher Pillet, known for his “lucidity of expression and search for simplicity.”

It may seem like Pillet’s City collection is ironically named, given that this assortment of sofas, chairs, and tables mostly adorns villas, poolsides, and beach fronts, yet it somehow works. As Pillet says, City is “a contemporary take on Mediterranean living,” as if the style and refinement of an urban sensibility were transposed onto the Mediterranean, this “universe where the sun and air meet.”

City is also geometrical and streamlined. The frames are extraordinarily thin, with a materials palette of powder-coated aluminum, teak, and graphite rope.

Cushions are polyurethane foam offered in three standard fabrics with a huge range of customized options.
