Colorado-based furniture company Alpine Blue gets its name from the characteristic color of beetle-kill wood. Instead of letting the dead timber go to waste, Alpine Blue gives it new life by crafting furniture.
Based on a simple belief that furniture should be “right-sized and multipurpose,” Alpine Blue creates versatile pieces that work particularly well in smaller homes. A table can serve equally well for dining or working, while coffee tables can double as stools or footrests.
The company uses only lumber from beetle-kill pine or reclaimed wood from Colorado forests. Additionally, Alpine Blue takes pride “in having very little scrap or leftover” during the building process.
