Ultrafabric’s New Brisa® Mokume Line is a polyurethane-based super fabric that is durable, breathable, and suspiciously soft.
The fabric is made for upholstery applications, which is why its breathability and softness is a particular boon, but it also possesses excellent acoustical properties—“created by a unique cellular structure that dissipates sound transfer for noise reduction.”
The above is sufficient endorsement alone, yet we haven’t even touched on Mokume’s aesthetic. The word—a hybrid of the Japanese characters for “tree” and “eye”—connotes the unique textural and aesthetic properties of old growth forests.
Continuing the above theme, Ultrafabrics offers Mokume in a palette of 14 natural, calming hues: choices like “Starry Night,” “Sunlight,” and “Waterfall” evoke all of earth’s elements, while providing consumers with an array of versatile, flexible design options.
