Yummy is a new rug design by Joa Herrenknecht with a raised grid design handtufted in thick wool

The grid design was inspired by the shape of Belgian waffles and the handmade appearance of Moroccan carpets. Herrenknecht explains, “With Moroccan carpets nothing is perfect – but clearly handmade, intuitive and sometimes the carpet makers intentionally integrate color mistakes as a ‘signature' of originality at the bottom of a carpet. A small detail that caught my attention and I very much liked this approach – using the free language of intuition.”
