Launched at last month's Milan Furniture Fair, Giulio Iacchetti has designed an adjustable, interlocking, modular sofa for Italian brand Casamania.
Summit can be arranged into an array of different combinations thanks to its pivoting base
An embossed black metal base supports an elegant seat upholstered with a completely removable elastic lining that adapts to both residential and office use.
The two armchair components pivot together around the front central leg to form a sofa that can be simply pulled apart using the leather handle attached to the back of the seat.
'It can be pronounced as a Latin term or with the English pronunciation (I prefer Latin),' says Iacchetti of the design. 'Summit is for gathering or meeting; this sofa is perfectly suited for people who want to talk and have a dialogue, looking into each other's eyes while sitting on the same sofa.'
