With more than 25 years experience working on residential, hospitality, and commercial projects, award-winning architect and interior designer Lauren Rottet is introducing her own line of furniture. The Rottet Home Collection includes three distinct lifestyles: Montauk Gray, Contemporary Cubist, and Rattan. Available April 2014, the Rottet Home Collection includes dining room, upholstery, and occasional furnishings in rich materials such as gray cerused oak veneers, acrylic, Carrara marble, and stainless steel.
Award-Winning Architect/Designer Offers New Collection for Hospitality and Residential
Montauk Gray, which is inspired by the designer's own Montauk home, includes sleek and reflective pieces like the Bent Metal Coffee Table, which is crafted from glass and metal. The seemingly infinite metal tubing of the base gives a feeling of lightness "while also loosely defining zones for each person sitting around it." Floating Chair is another piece in the Montauk Gray lifestyle. This bent wood and acrylic chair offers strict geometry that appears to float above the ground.
In the Contemporary Cubist collection, Powerful Table and Origami Table present angles and shapes that are as rigid and lovely as faceted stones. The lacquer finishes in coin-like lusters add to the tables' feeling of luxury. Pieces in the Rattan lifestyle of furnishings include Rattan Lounge Chair, Settee, and Tray Table.
