Durable, lightweight and environmentally friendly cork has seen an increase in popularity in recent years. In Portugal, a country that produces approximately 50% of the cork harvested annually worldwide, manufacturer Granorte have introduced a line of 3D cork tiles.
Cork Collection_03 is an exclusive line of modular cork tiles by Granorte that can be arranged in various different ways to create unique three-dimensional patterns.
Intended for use on the wall, the 3D tiles add depth and rhythmic pattern to any vertical surfaces. The design draws inspiration from traditional Portuguese tiles and wood panelling of the 50s and 60s. Collection_03 casts striking rhythmic pattern across the wall.
About the manufacturer: Granorte is a Portuguese family company that was founded in 1972 to recycle the cork waste from the wine. Today, Granorte's flooring is still created from 33% pre-consumer recycled cork waste from the wine stopper industry. Inherently sustainable, all of the cork used by Granorte is harvested from cork trees that will repeatedly and naturally regenerate for 200 years without harm.
