The Twig collection by British designers Russell and John Pinch is one of the most rustic but effective designs we've seen. Produced by Pinch, the collection is handmade using the reclaimed twigs of FSC-certified coppiced Hazel trees, found in the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, England.
Hazel is a particularly fast growing wood making the Twig Collection an extremely sustainable choice
The twigs are collected, dried and then arranged into bundles to create a simple bench, cube or a vertical side table/stool shape held together with metal pins. Pinch has also used the technique to create stylish wall panels made from solid Ash forest thinnings fixed to a black plywood back board. Fitting well into both traditional and contemporary environments, the designs are suitable for both residential and commercial settings.
