The New Slim Kitchen System by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba for Elmar

“A concrete and design-oriented model for city people,” is the final sentence used to describe the Slim Kitchen System by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba for Elmar. While this statement does not speak to the specifications, the actual materials used (clearly this is not a concrete kitchen), or the included features, Slim’s straightforward, austere appearance serves the urbanites worldwide with a polished setup ideal for small kitchens.

Slim Kitchen System is Clean and Purposeful, Giving Small Spaces a Metallic Kitchen Style

Perplexing to anyone familiar with the traditional kitchen design depth of 64/67 cm, the Slim takes on the scope that an architectural firm might employ when coming up with a dynamic building design. In fact, Elmar manufactures the Slim with a new depth of 50/53 cm dimensions to meet the needs of square footage-savvy spaces. By including both the slim profile and the typical, larger depth together, variety capitalizes on what they consider “graphical and volumetric effects”.

The Palomba duo’s expertise includes pieces of functional, modern kitchen and bath fittings – like the Lab 03 washbasin they created earlier this year. With plentiful experience making versatile pieces that fit, their Slim Kitchen System includes integration with standard-sized sinks, hobs and worktops to make every kitchen project easy and seamless. Additionally, continuous grip recess, the Slim island’s worktop that can act as a fold-away surface, or wing table, and its combination of wide and tall doors are poignant features that symbolize the latest options in a contemporary kitchen design perfect for apartments and small home structures.
